Consecration of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ecuador

Moments prior to the beginning of the Consecration Ceremony of the Scottish Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ecuador.

In a historic and unprecedented event in our country, the Grand First Principal of the Royal Arch of Scotland, M.E.C. Ramsay McGhee accompanied by his retinue, proceeded to consecrate the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ecuador and install the Grand Principals of the said Grand Chapter. Both ceremonies, as sober as fraternal, took place on October 19, 2024 in the Lodge Hall located in the Masonic House “Eugenio Espejo” in the city of Quito and were attended by all the EE. CC. members of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ecuador, and with the honorable accompaniment of the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ecuador, E.C. Hector Vanegas y Cortazar, who was conferred the position of First Honorary Deputy Grand Principal.

These two ceremonies were conducted by the visiting M. EE. CC. and were developed entirely in English. After the consecration of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ecuador, which formalizes its operation in our territory, we proceeded to install the Grand Principals of the same in their order:

Installation of the first authorities of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ecuador: M.E.C. Andrés Álvarez Moreira and M.E.C. Juan Morejón Mariño.

Primer Gran Principal, al M.E.C. Andrés Álvarez Moreira; Diputado Primer Gran Principal, al M.E.C. Juan Morejón Mariño; Segundo Gran Principal, al M.E.C. Xavier Vázquez Domínguez; y Tercer Gran Principal, al M.E.C. Byron Ojeda Oliva. A continuación, el M.E.C. Ramsay McGhee procedió al cierre de los trabajos de instalación y cedió la dirección de la sesión al P.G.P. Andrés Álvarez, quien procedió a instalar a los Grandes Portadores de Oficio del Gran Capítulo Supremo de Real Arco del Ecuador, que de esta manera formalizó su estructura organizativa y consolidó su estatus de autoridad única y suprema del Real Arco para el territorio de la República del Ecuador.

The Supreme Grand Chapter of the Scottish Royal Arch of Ecuador has been legally consecrated and installed as the sole and supreme authority of the Royal Arch in Ecuador, as attested by the Letter Patent exhibited.
